FlexRM have been working with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to deliver a solution to manage their Memberships, Events, Qualifications and CPD. CIM have over 35,000 members worldwide and were previously using a CRM system that was no longer fit for purpose. Due to the issues with the legacy CRM application FlexRM completed pilot and beta phases of the project before going live with the Memberships team.
Case study: CIM were experiencing a number of issues with duplicate data entry, the speed of the legacy system and the inability to report on data held within the system. FlexRM have automated and improved a number of different processes around creating and renewing Memberships. For example, CIM have a number of study centres located globally where students can sign-up to study. In order for a student to study, they have to sign-up for a Membership and these details were recorded in multiple different formats by the different study centres. The Spreadsheet containing the student details was sent back to CIM and then were manually keyed into the legacy CRM application. The spreadsheet could contain up to 500 students and would take 5 days to manually key into the legacy CRM application. FlexRM worked with CIM to standardise the spreadsheet and develop an import routine. The whole process from start to finish now takes CIM less than 10 minutes.
