The Brief: The National Women’s Register wanted to hold an annual staff away that would provide the organisation with ingredients needed to create a Member Engagement Strategy and Plan.

MemberWise facilitated our annual staff away day. He structured the day to enable our organisation to create the key elements of a new Member Engagement Strategy/Plan. Based on Rich’s background, experience, and obvious research and preperation, he had a clear/immediate understanding of our organisation and what was needed. The Brief: The Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) wanted to focus on member value and retention and asked MemberWise to facilitate a dedicated day for all members of staff. The aim of the day was to instil the fact that this focus was the responsibility of all staff and not just the membership team.

MemberWise worked with us to plan and deliver a Member Value and Retention Focused Workshop Day for all of our members of staff. He facilitated sessions that delivered a draft member value proposition (that was built on all-staff consensus), a review of existing member value, the mapping of key member journeys/moments of truth and the creation of member focused success measures. The Brief: Social Enterprise UK wanted to create a Member Value Proposition (MVP) in consultation with their members.

Output: Two workshops with key stakeholders enabled  the organisation to create a draft proposition and then gain formal sign-off the internal staff/management team. The Brief: The Entrepreneurs Organisation (EO) wanted to explore its current membership offering and better align it with member demand. MemberWise was asked to facilitate dedicated time for Communications Committee Members to completely re-evaluate the membership offering of the organisation.

The training provided insight on how to take a more structured approach to member engagement and enabled the board to create proposed new member journeys that we hope will have a major impact on future member retention and recruitment. SATRA

The Brief: NACFB wanted to explore the member experience via a segmented approach. MemberWise was asked to help key member facing staff spend a dedicated day on evaluating the membership offering to key member segments.

We asked MemberWise to facilitate a one-day workshop to enable us to optimise current and future member journeys/member experience. Rich introduced the topic to our team and explained the importance of taking a structured approach to member journeys/experience. He facilitated interactive sessions that enabled us to explore/define key member personas and investigate how member journeys can be improved and enhanced for the future. Youth Business International

The Brief: The HFMA wanted to bring together its branch network. MemberWise was asked to facilitate a session to show how other membership organisations are ‘harnessing local’ to optimise member engagement/experience.

MemberWise presented a thought provoking session at the first HFMA Branches Conference – bringing together all 13 of our branches. The network’s insight into the membership sector resonated with the audience; clearly demonstrating a deep knowledge and understanding of the issues faced by regional branches and the sector as a whole. MemberWise gave a stimulating presentation containing ‘real’ examples, past experience, case studies and practical solutions. The Brief: Youth Business International (YBI) needed to transition from a free to a paid-for annual membership scheme. MemberWise was asked to facilitate a workshop to evaluate the viable models/options available.

MemberWise delivered a practical one-day Membership Workshop that enabled YBI to focus on moving from a free to a paid-for membership model. Content included key member value driver evaluation and member journey creation. The session was facilitated in collaboration with international members and key member facing staff. The Brief: The Institute of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) wanted to create its own Member Value Proposition (MVP) statement in association with its Board of Trustees and key member facing staff.

The Brief: The International Hydro Association wanted to bring its board together (members travelling from across the World) to enable the organisation to evaluate its core member facing activity.

The Brief: RCN Northern Ireland wanted to organise an Annual Representatives’ Residential event focusing on member engagement/benefits. The previous year’s event didn’t deliver on expectations as it was facilitated by a professional from outside of the Membership/Association space so there was need to engage a somewhat sceptical audience.

MemberWise prepared and delivered our annual Representatives’ Residential event. The event incorporated interactive workshops that focused on the evaluation and enhancement of member engagement/member benefits, effective segmentation/personalisation and future optimisation of the organisation’s member value proposition (MVP).
