The Brief: MemberWise was asked by The Law Society to provide an interim member of staff to complete a full regional review and restructure of the organisations regions. This work was a fixed 6-month project that included consultation, review, external benchmarking and a staffing restructure (15 full-time members of staff).

In 2016 the MemberWise Network transformed the relationship management function (a 14-strong team responsible for enhancing local member engagement/relationships with over 160,000 solicitors in England in Wales) at the Law Society. We implemented a 3-tier management structure, undertook significant team member changes/recruitment, implemented a CRM focused approach and enhanced member engagement/experiences within key membership/stakeholder segments. The project was delivered on time, to budget and will ensure the society delivers optimised member engagement at a local level now and in the future. Output: The Law Society’s regional network was completely reconfigured and aligned to member location (rather than previous regional development boundaries). Regional Managers/Heads were recruited and a new regional strategy/plan was put in place. The project has enable The Law Society to get closer to its members at a local level in a more structured, informed and affective manner. This role involved a mixture of membership and project management/programme leadership responsibilities and was conducted on a part-time basis.

 

The Brief: To create a new role for the RCoA of Member Engagement Manager.

The Brief: RICS wanted to recruit a new Knowledge Services Manager.

Output: A new Knowledge Services Manager was recruited.

 

Brief: MemberWise Job were asked to support The Society of Local Council Clerks’ recruitment campaign by assessing candidates. The Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC) required a new Head of Member Services. They assembled an interview panel that assessed all the longlisted applicants’ CVs and cover letters. Using our sector expertise in recruitment and workforce development we were able to advise on the suitability of a diverse candidate base, providing additional insights specific to membership engagement and development. This was continued in the interview process too.

Output: SLCC were able to appoint a new member of the team that not only met the requirements of the SLCC but had the additional reassurances from MemberWise about their potential for taking the membership service forward.
