SUSTAINING A RELEVANT MEMBER PROPOSITION THROUGH DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION
Introduction
Trade Union membership numbers have now risen for the fourth consecutive year, reversing what had been a steady decline over the course of several decades.
The challenges of 2020 presented a sudden and powerful reminder of the need for Unions in representing and protecting the UK’s workers; from ensuring adequate health and safety measures were taken to save lives in the workplace, to assisting in securing and extending the furlough scheme to support workers through a period of uncertainty and vulnerability.
However, many Unions still struggle to deliver relevant services and experiences for their members in the context of rapidly evolving member expectations. Growth in numbers is one thing; meeting the needs of the modern worker in a digital world is another.
