Earlier this year, we embarked on an ambitious programme to develop our successful MemberWise Ambassador Programme to further champion best practice and professionalism with the next generation of membership and association professionals. Our aim was to double the current number.

We believe that common roles within membership organisations and associations need to be represented within the Network, so that professionals conducting these roles have a ‘natural home’ or place where they can go to access targeted and practical help and support.

This help and support (featuring unique thought leadership, knowledge, experience and insight) is best championed by senior professionals who are ‘at the top of their game’ within these common areas. Our ambassadors help us chair conferences, act as panellists for webcasts and answer burning questions on the MemberWise Connect Community.

We have now achieved our goal of appointing a total of 23 ambassadors for the Sector! We have appointed people who are working at the coal face and demonstrating passion for change for their specialism. They are enthusiastic about supporting other membership professionals working in the same area and yearning for best practise sharing, discussion and debate.

Here’s a list of the specialisms covered: Community, Digital Transformation, Member Data, Member Value, Member Retention & Engagement, New Member Acquisition, People and Volunteering, PR & Comms, Finance, Leadership, Governance, Learning & CPD and  Mentoring,

Over the next six months, we will be looking to our MemberWise Ambassadors to support us in developing new content with the aid of our new Events and Content Manager and helping us to shape webcasts, conferences, blog articles and other great resources. We hope you’ll look forward to new developments as they are released.
