2021 has been one of the most successful years for MemberWise – and for more than a few reasons, but in this article we will uncover how we have been supporting you through our exclusive service, MemberWise Jobs. We surpassed 100 job posts in October – a record breaker by far and a turnaround from a sedentary and uncertain 2020.
Our community have explored these job posts, visiting our site over 14,000 times this year! And those are just browsing sessions – during this time our jobs have attracted over 28,000 views to date. Compare that with 2020 and this shows a growth of more than double. It really has been super busy!
And why is that? Put simply, with the number of furlough schemes active last year active recruitment put the brakes on rapidly – particularly during the middle two quarters of the year when lockdowns were at their peak. We saw less than half the amount of job advertisements during the same period in 2020. And there are more of you using the site too…nearly 2,000 more users have been actively accessing our posts or placing new job ads. Things have picked up massively and MemberWise is pleased to continue providing exclusive recruitment services that enables the membership and association sector to retain high quality talent and experience. This is important because we are a growing group of professionals “that get membership” and sometimes internal career progression can be slow/frustrating. Our experience needs to be shared so that we can bring the best to the myriad of professional, vocational and general interests out there.
So who has been using the service and what has attracted the most amount of interest this year? We are pleased to say that we have advertised a wide variety of roles (at all levels) from membership-focussed to CPD/learning to board/governance. You name it, we have done it. The ones that attracted the most attention were:
- Membership Manager at APS Intelligence
- Head of Membership and Member Services at Chartered Institute for Highways and Transportation
- Development Partnerships Manager at Creative Industries Federation
- Membership Manager at Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading
- Membership Manager at Youth Business International
These top five were just a small sample from many others that got hundreds of views. MemberWise Jobs also showcased high profile management roles such as Chief Executive Officer, Director of Business Development, Commercial Director (to name a few). And it wasn’t just the senior roles that performed well, other roles including Membership Engagement Executive at the Pension and Lifetime Savings Association achieved solid application numbers. And Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers also did well with their Senior Regions Executive role.
We have also advertised roles for some of the biggest associations in the sector (including Influence 100) including: BCS, Chartered Management Institute, CIPD, IOSH, and more…!
Most interesting fact?
Unsurprisingly the stand out stat is the most popular day for accessing the site was on the 5th January. Considering most people returned to work from the 3rd – 5th January it seemed to be “the back to work New Year blues” – big time! There were over 600 page views that day. We hope those of you who accessed the site either found your dream job earlier this year – or settled back into your existing one alright.
